In Versus Concert – Coimbra Fado and Guitar Group

Next Thursday, at 21:00, Praça do Infante in Lagos will be filled with the sound of In Versus – Grupo de Fados e Guitarradas de Coimbra, a group that began its activity at the University of Algarve in 1999 and has had, throughout its history, former students from the University of Coimbra, University of Porto and University of Algarve. Entry is free.
XXXIV Guia Chicken Festival
August 03 to 05
It is also from next Thursday, August 3rd, that Guia (Albufeira) hosts the XXXIV Guia Chicken Festival. For four nights, the famous Guia chicken is the center of attention, bringing hundreds of lovers of this delicacy to the town. The party runs until August 6, at the Multisport of ‘Guia Futebol Clube’, starting at 7:00 pm, and features the typical handicraft show and also a very lively musical repertoire, with the performance of several artists.
Sardine Festival – Olhos de Água
August 10, 11 and 12
During the 10th, 11th and 12th, starting at 21:00, the 24th edition of the famous Sardine Festival will be celebrated. The square next to the beach of Olhos de Água brings, as usual, the best sardines on the coast and thousands of fish lovers, in the company of local artists who promise to guarantee entertainment and good dancing as tradition demands.
Silves Medieval Fair
August 10-20
The Medieval Fair returns to the city of Silves, from the 10th to the 20th of August, with 11 days of historical recreation of the medieval period of the former capital of the Kingdom of the Algarve, in a journey through time that invites you to experience “A day in History”.
Two daily tournaments, a show at the Castle, a dozen fixed entertainment points, itinerant entertainment, six medieval tavern squares, two wardrobes, an educational and recreational space aimed at the youngest, more than two dozen entertainment groups; a Berber camp with merchants of exotic products, blacksmiths, carpenters and potters working in their crafts and the usual medieval experiences are just some of the attractions of this Medieval Fair of Silves, where more than a hundred exhibitors are present, including artisans, mesteirais, confectionery, mystics, merchants and mourners.

Fatacil
August 18-26 | Lagoa
From the 18th to the 27th of August, all the paths and tides will lead to the FATACIL23, in Lagoa, the largest event south of the Tagus, which brings together in the same space and programs everything that families need to spend unique moments, between musical shows, equestrian shows, gastronomy, street entertainment, handicrafts, commerce and industry, in an enclosure where visitors have all the best that Lagoa, the Algarve and the country has to offer.
The daily ticket costs €5, the family day ticket costs €16 and the 10-day pass has a total value of €30. Children up to and including 12 years old don’t pay ticket. Learn more here.
